Work package 4.1

Development of library of innovative MRI probes and improved methods for "in vivo" cellular labelling

In this work package seven partner institutions from seven countries (Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, United Kingdom) cooperate.

Leader of the WP is Silvio Aime from the University of Torino (Torino, Italy).

The main objectives for this project period (JPA5) are:

  • Development of dual (MRI/PET, MRI/SPECT) Gd(III)-based responsive probes

  • Development of nanosized paramagnetic CEST agents

  • Improved lipid-based probes for labelling/targeting cells

  • Exploring novel routes for labeling cells

  • Improved detection of MMP activity

  • Development of pH-responsive 19F MR probes
