Work package 5

Nineteen DiMI partner institutions from nine countries (Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Spain, Sweden, The Netherlands, United Kingdom) are involved in the different research activities of this work package.

Leader of the WP is Anna Maria Planas from the Institut d’Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer (Barcelona, Spain).

The main objectives for this project period (JPA5) are:

• Application of new contrast agents/probes to image pathological processes
  
  
• Identification and application of molecular targets for imaging and/or treatment
  
  
• Development and characterisation (MRI, NMR spectroscopy) of brain abscesses
  
  
• Behavioural characterisation of new animal models
